Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Hazel Park

The food was great, they even mistakenly gave my dad an extra piece of fish and didn’t charge us for it. Just two complaints. 1. The volume of the music. We went for an early dinner around 4pm and I could barely hear my father from across the table. 2. The seating across from the bar is very tight. I don’t think there is a solve for it, but it makes for awkward situations during busy times when waiters and customers are trying to make their way to and from the restrooms and kitchen.

Fantastic restaurant! Loved that they have zucchini noodles! Everyone enjoyed their meals, wine and aps. Will be going back again for sure. Plus, there’s parking near which makes it easy too.

The food was fantastic! I didn’t appreciate that the only parking option was valet and the parking was right outside the door so you’re paying $8 for someone to get your car when you can get it likely quicker. We found a ton of glass on the floor by our table and our server didn’t seem to really care so we had to tell a manager on our way out so no one gets hurt because it was everywhere under the table. Other than those two things, it’s a cute place with very good food.

Our advice is: dont put too much effort on deciding, as everything is absolutely amazing! We've been coming here everytime we came to Detroit since 2022 and we've seen our share of new dishes everytime... and tried them. No regrets whatsoever!

I always liked the original location in grosse pointe. Have not been to Royal since it first opened. Still great!
