- FFrankJacksonville / Northeast Florida •6 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoIt was my first time eating there, and I did not take part in the wine bar/wine tasting since I brought my child and parents. It definitely eems like something to come back for with a group of friends. It is a little noisy, and conversation can be a little hard to hear. But to be honest, most of the restaurants in town seem to be like that now unless they are relatively empty. It was no louder than any other I have been in that is relatively full. We still could talk and hear each other. (But if you are looking for a quiet romantic dinner, this is not the place.) The service was great. Our waitress was super attentive. I drink a lot of water, and never had to wait for my glass to be refilled. She was always stopping by to make sure we were happy and did not need anything. The food was great. My daughter and I had the gnocchi which was excellent. It is hard to find good gnocchi in Jacksonville. And this is not even an Italian restaurant per se, and it was better than some of the gnocchi I have eaten at "Italian restaurants." My parents got the blackened tuna and just by the looks of the tuna, I could tell the quality and was somewhat disappointed I did not get it. They both said it was one of if not the best tuna they have ever gotten out. To top it off, my daughter, the only one of us who had been there before with her mom, insisted on the warm chocolate chip and peanut butter cup cookie with ice cream. It did not disappoint. Would ABSOLUTELY go back there again. Is on the pricey side, so not a place I would go with just my 10-year old and I. But definitely with friends, a date, or a celebratory meal, a place high on my list.More infoCooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Jacksonville – Big Island Drive, FLPrice: Moderate• American• Baymeadows•4.5

The space is warm, cozy without feeling cramped, and the kind of place where the ambiance whispers instead of shouts. No cacophony of noise here—just the soft hum of conversation, the occasional clink of glasses, and the theatrical rhythm of the open kitchen. The staff? Phenomenal. Attentive but not overbearing, with Dominic, our waiter, standing out like a true professional. This guy wasn’t just taking orders; he was orchestrating an experience. Friendly, knowledgeable, and effortlessly helpful, he elevated the meal from great to unforgettable. And then there’s the food—oh, the food. Let’s start with the brioche. This wasn’t just bread; it was a revelation. Paired with their butter, it was an indulgence that bordered on sinful, a moment so good you’d consider coming back just for that. The chickpea fritter was an unexpected delight, golden and crisp with a lightness that belied its humble ingredients. This is what good food does—it surprises you, pulls you in, and leaves you craving more. For mains, we went with the sea bass and duck confit, both executed with precision and care. The sea bass was delicate and flaky, a testament to the skill of the kitchen. The duck confit? Rich, unctuous, and unapologetically decadent—the kind of dish that makes you want to lean back in your chair, sip your drink, and reflect on how damn good life can be when you’re sitting in the right place, eating the right food. And about those cocktails—each one was a masterpiece. Balanced, bold, and creative, they weren’t just drinks; they were a celebration in a glass. Whoever’s behind that bar knows exactly what they’re doing, and they’re doing it with flair. Bravo Zulu to the owner and the entire team at Rue Saint-Marc. They’ve created something special here—a place that feels like a love letter to good food.More infoRue Saint-MarcPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary European• Jacksonville•4.8
