Nestled in the heart of Ashtown Village, Dublin 15, overlooking the Royal Canal, The Lock Keeper can be found at Lock #10. Steeped in heritage, this double lock was constructed c.1792. With quality stonework and attractive sloping edges Lock 10 is one of 46 along the Royal Canal and continues to be a testament to the skill of the craftsmen involved. Our bar is adjacent to the Lock Keepers House, a post that became obsolete in 1961 when the canal was closed to traffic the previous year. The Royal Canal, which runs from the River Liffey to the River Shannon and stretches a distance of 145km, was originally built for freight and passenger transportation with the last working barges ceasing to operate in 1951.Now beautifully maintained by Irish Waterways, you are welcome to visit The Lock Keeper by canoeing, walking or cycling from Dublin City Centre. Equally idyllic, why not catch a train from Connolly with a short 6 minute journey bringing you to our

O’Callaghan’s Bar is the ideal spot to sit back, relax and unwind after a long day on the golf course, at the beach or at the amusement park. Choose from delicious bar food, mouth-watering cocktails, a fine selection of whiskeys or the perfect pint. We have made a substantial investment in our outdoor dining areas, to greatly increase the comfort, including permanent structures to provide additional shelter and shade, and a brand new overhead outdoor heating system. Due to the changes that hotels, bars and restaurants have had to make to comply with the new Covid 19 guidelines we will not be operating McLoughlin’s restaurant this summer, which means we have extended our new bar food menu to include some of your favourite bistro style dishes to accompany a fabulous cocktail or the perfect pint. This menu will be served on O’Callaghan’s Patio and is available from 12.00pm to 7.30pm from Sunday through to Thursday, and until 8.30pm on Friday and Saturday. Richmond Restaurant - Portobello Dublin. Last night the team produced the best meal we've had so far in England and Ireland. (Travelling four nations in the Christmas period) Beautiful, confident, bold and complex, all in good measure. The restaurant has been in operation for about nine years and is a well oiled machine. If you're anywhere near Dublin then seek this place out.

I booked this restaurant after seeing recommendations online. Myself and my friends were blown away by the food, service and the entire experience. So much so I booked a flight back to Ireland two weeks later to enjoy the experience again. Firstly, the service is outstanding, especially compared to restaurants at home. All of the service staff go out of their way to welcome you and make you feel so at home. No request is a problem, they truly go out of their way to provide you the best experience possible. They have excellent knowledge on the menu: both drinks and food. You notice the closeness of the team as they work together so well and communicate, especially when a waiter/waitress is busy with another table. We wished we could have given a bigger tip. Secondly, the food is outstanding. There’s not much more to say other than book this restaurant if you want an amazing meal. Timing is perfect, not too quick and not too long of a wait between courses. The food itself is cooked to perfection in how you request. I don’t eat red meat but my friends and partner believe the steak from this restaurant is the best they’ve ever eaten. I’ve had the chicken supreme twice and could truly eat it everyday for the rest of my life. Thankyou to the chefs. Finally, the overall experience is truly special. The view if you have a window table is beautiful. However, if you don’t have a window table the experience is still just as good. The open kitchen is probably the best part and the music is perfect for the vibe of the restaurant itself. Not too loud and not too quiet. Even the toilets get a 10/10 from me. Thankyou, can’t wait to be back.

Such a lovely welcome with no delay to a lovely table in the conservatory at the front of the restaurant. The ambience was so Christmassy & really festive, making it a very magical experience. Plenty of room with a nice buzzy atmosphere & yet not noisy. The service was quick yet personable & everyone was very pleasant & professional. The food was sublime. Beautifully presented & perfect portion size. I highly recommend the cod! The wine - Pinot, was crisp & perfectly chilled. Had a really lovely night & totally enjoyed the food, drink, service & very lovely staff. Looking forward to my next visit. Thank you all.
