Best Lunch Restaurants in Macquarie Park

We’ve dined at this local gem on several occasions and each time, the staff was attentive and the food was good. Came for my birthday on the last outing and the staff made such a lovely fuss. Food is always spot on and cooked well.

Bistro Kai is probably the closest you will come to fine dining in Chatswood without any of the pretentiousness. The decor is comfortable and quite spacious and the service is not intrusive but friendly and helpful. The food is exceptionally good - we tried the octopus which was so very tender and well seasoned, the softest and tastiest sourdough from Cherrymoon Bakery that was toasted and served with a whipped Japanese style butter, the roasted brussel sprouts, the most tender wagyu beef short rib, a delicious chicken maryland with crisp skin and tender meat resting on mashed potato and an amazing abalone gravy (an amazing combo you should try) and their famous cheeseburger which was wonderful as usual. Paired with perfectly balanced creative cocktails, with the Pandan and Ube Irish Coffee and the Chonky Charlie Chaplin a particular standout. Very sad that their iconic tiramisu is not on the menu at the moment but hopefully will see a revival sometime soon! It is not cheap but not the most expensive either - our lunch came to $110pp including 2 alcoholic drinks each and 2 courses. But the food was exceptional and well worth the price. Definitely would recommend!

Verace is the place to go to for the most authentic Italian pizza that you can get without flying to italy. I would come here every week if I lived closer to them! I always order the diavola and it never lets me down, plus their home made chilli oil is to die for! Family run, Italian owners too so you know it’s legit. Family friendly, not stuffy and easy parking.

The food was average as not much selections however the ingredients are likely fresh. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring everything was just right.

I keep coming back, it is a great restaurant. Service and food are consistently good. Was very impressed to hear that the owners took all the staff to the Hunter Valley for New Years!!
