The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59. The Royal as it was known has served the community and travellers alike. To the rear of the building in our historic Cobbled Garden you will find our own brewery housed in the stables which were used for the horses and stage coaches as they passed through the village. From Ales to YPA’s, to Blonde beers we are a small producer using primary English hops brewing exclusively in house for The Hop Vine and our sister pub the Legh Arms.Our countryside sister the Legh Arms is our latest addition to the family and is situated in the pretty hamlet of Mere Brow.     Great place, food was really nice along with service, the service charge I thought was a bit top heavy, and I prefer to tip at my own discretion but as we had thoroughly enjoyed everything on this Occassion I didn’t ask for it to be removed, will definitely be returning

    Visited Dish with two friends for our christmas get together. The restaurant was busy and buzzing, lots of laughter and very christmassy. The service was lovely even though they where busy they where attentive. The food was wonderful and i would highly recommend a visit.

    Excellent from beginning to end . Perfect customer service . Lovely ambience . Excellent food and cocktails . The 2 course lunch menu was really good value for money . Allergies are very well catered for . All 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed it . This is the only place where I have been served a non alcoholic wine that I actually liked . Well done all round . I would highly recommend.

    Brilliant food, excellent service and Cara and Jordan were superb hosts. Recommended wine choice which was exceptional. Will definitely go back to this place again. Cara did a fantastic job advertising the travellers rest on Facebook which is why we booked.
