Best Lunch Restaurants in La Cantera

The ‘flight of steaks’ was a first for us. It was amazing; beautifully prepared and a very good smsll’ish size so you don’t feel overstuffed. Our server was very attentive, smiling and helpful

Haywire is a great aesthetic and vibe. When went they had only been open a month. They didn’t have hamburgers available bc they didn’t have buns. They were also out of barbacoa so no barbacoa grilled cheese. We had a group of 8 and got seated right away with our reservation. Food took longer than expected but was worth the wait. Chicken friend chicken was excellent with jalapeño gravy. Fried green tomatoes were a table favorite. Ribs were also a hit as well as Brussel sprouts. The corn was flavorful and spicy. Overall great food! Service was great too especially for a large party. Dessert of bread pudding for the birthday boy was enjoyed by all. I highly recommend!

If I could give a the service 10 stars, I would. Our waitress, Amanda, was amazing!! She was attentive, gave good recommendations, and very friendly. It’s sometime hard to find good service but Amanda really went above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent experience and a great dinner. We will definitely ask for her the next time we eat at whiskey cake.

Booked a reservation because it was Thanksgiving evening but the crowd was lite and we walked right in. Food was good a price was not outrageous. And attire was casual. I would go here again
