- EE .San Diego •8 reviews5.0Dined todayWhat a great evening-dining unexpected experience AmalfiLama was!! Special mention: Rodrigo (from Hawai), Hector (manager) all staff was OnPoint. 5 stars .- excellent service. Nice surprise: the wine list. Note: in my experience dining in restaurants sponsored by famous athletes or famous movie personalities, usually focus on “them” and not the food or quality in the “overall” dining. AmalfiLama prioritized in quality, service, flavor. The food concept is clearly carefully selected to have perfect pairing ingredients in the way these are cooked. Smokiness, chard, infused, all are excellent. Best way to prepare lobster is here. Our findings: broccolinis comes with garlic infused chili oil, try a bite of the garlic and ribeye together, taste the magic. One more: the flowerless chocolate dessert and the compote (raspberry) vanilla ice cream. Our family of 6 had a wonderful time dining here and we are happy to share our experience. Yes! We recommend AmalfiLama.More infoThe Amalfi Llama - San DiegoPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• University City/Golden Triangle•4.5
- HHannahSan Diego •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agomy mom has a dairy allergy and the item she ordered had dairy in the bread, they were very adamant about making sure her meal was on a bun she could eat so she could enjoy the food she originally ordered! it was great because they came out and talked to us to make sure it was okay and asked her what bread alternative she wanted!More infoTrue Food Kitchen - San Diego UTCPrice: Expensive• American• La Jolla•4.5
- BBobWashington, D.C. Area •7 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe travel around the country and try to make the dining experience part of our vacation. We had learned about red O the last time we went to San Diego and didn’t have time to experience the restaurant. So we made a point of it this year. I will say that it has to be one of the best restaurants we’ve ever had the pleasure of dining. We come from a state that serves a lot of beef and I will say that the 18 ounce ribeye was better than anything I had from our home state. My spouse had the half a pound lobster and it was done to perfection. So I highly recommend anyone experiencing this restaurant if they have the opportunity. The weight staff was incredible. And we will definitely put in our plans for next time we’re in San Diego.More infoRED O Taste of Mexico - La JollaPrice: Expensive• Contemporary Mexican• La Jolla•4.4
