Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in Calico Rock

Three years ago, my nephew was in a hospital bed at Children’s Hospital and we had no idea what was going on. To get his mind off his health, I told him how his aunt and I had been to CS and gotten a steak “bigger than his head.” He asked if we could take him if he ever got out of the hospital. I promised him he’d get one of those tomahawk steaks. Well life happens, and they live in Texas, every time they visit we missed the special. We finally got to go tonight. We had great service, great company, and my nephew, who is now 15 and healthy as a horse, had himself a big ol’ tomahawk as big as his head. Thank you, Cypress Social.

It was pretty amazing. Complimentary valet. Beautiful restaurant. Great service. Delicious food. Not terribly expensive. The seating is a little small and close to others, but that’s really the only knock.

Great salad bar. Clean, lots of choices. Meal was superb and perfectly cooked. Now, the staff- if you ever go here, make sure to ask for Jasmine’s section. She was fabulous!!! We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

It's been about 1.5 years since I've been to Table 28. The food was excellent. The biggest difference was the service. The serve we had last time stuck out as being very inexperienced and unknowledgeable, which should not be expected at a restaurant at this price point. The service was MUCH better this time around. It seems like they've upgraded their staff by adding a few people who previously worked at the capitol. It really shows.

Lovely setting. Brought guests from NYC and we all enjoyed our food, excellent service . Highly recommend
