- TTerryVIPKansas City / Kansas •8 reviews5.0Dined todayWonderful evening with two other couples. The entire evening could not have been nicer. The table was in a room that one could carry on a nice conversation without competing with the other noise. Gaspar, as a server, could not have been more attentive or professional. The food was perfect from bread to dessertMore infoThe Capital Grille - Kansas CityPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Plaza / Brookside•4.7
- LLindseyKansas City / Kansas •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoOverall, this was a great experience. A friend and I decided on this restaurant as part ok KCRW. We got there early so got a drink and appetizer at the bar. I got the crab cakes. Normally, I would rave about crab cakes, however these fell short. They didn't seem fresh, more like something made the day before and just reheated. My friend got the cauliflower app, which was very good. She also got a couple chocolate martini's also very good. We then got sat at our table. Got a couple more drinks. I got a Bellini martini, yum! She got the wedge salad and I got the crab bisque for the app. Both very good, I could eat the bisque every day! For our main, we both got the filet with mashed potato asparagus. The steak was cooked perfectly med-rare for me and medium for her. The bread, so good, I had to get more. When it was time for dessert, we had to get it to go. The hostesses, bar tender and server were excellent. Very professional and attentive, but not overboard. This is not normally a place that I could afford an a regular occasion so I was glad to see this on KCRW lineup. Great experience, and would to visit again as a date night in the future 🙂More infoPierpont's at Union StationPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Crossroads / Freight District / Boulevard•4.7
- CCharlesKansas City / Kansas •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoTried Stock Hill for Restaurant Week. Was not disappointed. Our party splurged on extra cost Waygu filets and thick ribeyes. These ended up being outstanding cuts of beef and were perfectly prepared. Side was a little ridiculous...a swirl of mash potato maybe twice the size of of a Hershey kiss; But it was good. Service was outstanding. Friendly but not overly familar, knowledgeable, and perfectly paced. Thank you Matt! Space is modern, comfortable, a little noisy but not bad enough to make conversation difficult. The place was bustling on the Friday night we were there. They had a live jazz band that added to ambiance without being a distraction from the food and conversation. Regular menu was just a little pricey, but comparable to other steak and seafood restaurants on the Plaza. Really nice house special cocktails, and extensive wine list with some bargains as well as some very special, very pricey bottles. Would definitely recommend for special occasions, or more often if you've got the coin.More infoStock HillPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Plaza / Brookside•4.7
