- NNaliniVIPGloucestershire/Wiltshire •8 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoHuge fan of Hawksmoor and we always visit when are in town; this time my daughter’s birthday! We had been in December and had a disappointing visit; however the manager reached out and we were invited back to rectify.,Today’s visit really was superb; in fact we said it was probably the best roast we’ve had at Hawksmoor yet. The service was great, we were well looked after, water always topped off, friendly server. When the wine i’d ordered was not available, the lady suggested another, which I was a little nervous about but it was a good alternative and very palatable. The meat was excellent; great helping of vegetable, we got some extra potatoes as my daughter loves Roasties and we ended up sharing and endless jugs of gravy was no issue. This really reminded us of why we love Hawksmoor and it was absolutely worth making a return visit; it was superb! - TTRACEYLondon •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoVisited yesterday for Afternoon Tea service we recieved from trainee Kutchui i think thats how its spelt was amazing she was a credit to the restaurant very professional polite and deserves a permanent job she was faultless Ambience was lovely piano player was great not too loud we could hear ourselves chatting while we ate Food amazing especially salmon and spinach sandwiches Cakes delicious and scones were nice Tea brilliant choice to suit all pallets Only negative was the £54 Service charge on bill none of our party are adverse for tipping and service we recieved was excellent but we felt on top of £90 for afternoon tea this was a bit much. We did query this and it was taken off the bill and we did leave the waitress a tip. Would visit again in the futureMore infoGalleryPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary British• Covent Garden•4.7
- HHeatherCambridge/Cambridgeshire •14 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoThe staff were second to none in their hospitality from the warm welcome to the polite and most friendly farewell. My friend and I found the menu innovative and we were spoilt for choice. I had the venison tartare for starters and Asian spiced monkfish; both absolutely beautifully cooked and presented. My friend had the pastrami chalk stream trout and the vegan feta dish which she found perfect and challenging to her taste buds. The waiting service was attentive without being intrusive. We loved the entire dining experience and shall return very soon. The ambiance of the restaurant creates a world of private dining sheltered from the hubbub of hectic London outside its portals. Highly recommend Lore of the Land.More infoThe Lore of the LandPrice: Very Expensive• Gastro Pub• Fitzrovia•4.7
- EElizabethPhiladelphia County •1 review5.0Dined on Jan 1, 2025I never write a review however, being celiac, as well as my daughter and dairy free, this restaurant excellent flavors the food was phenomenal. The service was even phenomenal. My daughter and I are also allergic to shellfish and they made sure everything was allergy friendly. This is one of our first restaurants in London, where we didn’t have any cross-contamination and did not feel sick after our meal. Highly recommend if you have celiac disease.More infoIndigo at One AldwychPrice: Expensive• British• Covent Garden•4.8
