Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the main restaurant at dock-level is joined by a 120-seat waterside bar. Both include terraces with views across the water (squint your eyes and you might just see the ghosts of great ships laden with mighty lengths of timber that used to swing in and unload there). There's also a private dining room for up to 20 people named after the local legend Queenie Watts, a singer, songwriter, actor and self-confessed bawdy landlady (think Peggy Mitchell meets Joni Mitchell). We visited Gong bar on 27/11 at 16.00 - What a fabulous venue, with excellent service and a unique atmosphere. The whole experience was exceptional, and our Spanish waiter was brilliant with his recommendations and his service. We had a great time and would recommend anyone who is thinking of celebrating any occasion, special or not, going to this venue. One of the top venues in London with atmosphere, a great view and great service.

Everything was absolutely amazing, the food, the teas, the view, the people working there. However we did not expect the 15% service charge to be added to the price. But be had a wonderful time and do not regret at all to have chosen the Shangri-La for our tea time in London.
