Any doubts I may have had about trying this restaurant while visiting Louisville were immediately erased, even though that meant driving around an unfamiliar neighborhood without the benefit of coffee. I had the avocado toast, per our server’s recommendation, and my husband had the skillet. Both were delicious, and we intend to visit again the next time we’re in town. I also really enjoyed the African coffee. When in doubt, make reservations, especially if it is too inclement to sit outside. As we were leaving the hostess was on the phone explaining that all they had available was bar seating and that was first come, first serve.More infoMorning ForkPrice: Moderate• Breakfast• Frankfort Ave - Crescent Hill•4.7

The bartenders do a great job, not only preparing your drinks, and serving your entrées, they are very friendly and personable as well I had the Z-Man state, roasted potatoes, and spinach Alfredo, along with a glass of homemade Gingerale, and a glass of wine Couldn’t ask for a more perfect eveningMore infoRamsi's Cafe on the World - HighlandsPrice: Moderate• International• Highlands - Bardstown Rd / Taylorsville Rd•4.6

The cocktails were fantastic, the starters, dinner, and dessert were all top quality. The setting was cozy and comfortable. We have already made return reservations. I highly recommend.More infoLe RelaisPrice: Expensive• French• Highlands - Bardstown Rd / Taylorsville Rd•4.8

Our server, Andre, was very knowledgeable and took his time explaining the menu offerings to us. The house bread was amazing as always. The buccatini was even better the second time around. Ordered it as a side to our Filet’s. Everything was excellent and we will return!More infoRepeal Oak Fired SteakhousePrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Downtown Louisville•4.8

The calamari appetizer was excellent, as was the wedge salad which they kindly split for us. And basket of warm bread - yum! My husband now lists their Tomahawk Pork Chop in his top ten - super tender, perfectly cooked. I had the scallops - also perfectly cooked with the grits, peas, and fried onions accompaniments - wonderful. Considering it was a super busy night at the restaurant, we felt very well taken care of by the wait staff. Also, if you aren't staying at the hotel or Ubering, use the restaurant valet for $10.00. A great deal for parking, and our car was waiting for us at the curb when we were done with dinner.More infoSwizzlePrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Downtown Louisville•4.5
