- CClaudia ReschPhiladelphia County •8 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoThe venue of a 100 year old bank was splendid - beautiful gilded coffered ceiling, rails, etc. Lovely chandelier. The music was too loud for the large space. Our server was excellent and attentive. We lucked into 50% wine night, and almost all bottles were included. Nice treat. We opted for the chateaubriand which was very good in an updated way with marrow (great for dipping the filet) the best garlic mashed potatoes and garlicky broccoli rabe. Simplified but not. I felt the price was over the top at $185 for 2. A splurge, but... Will be returning the next time in town.More infoLa Grande Boucherie - DCPrice: Very Expensive• French• Washington•4.3
- MMaryWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoHadn't been to Modena in a while, and the experience last night (business dinner) was terrific. Everyone liked the food, the service was extremely efficient - didn't once have to ask for water glasses to be filled. I will find a reason to come back more often.More infoModenaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Downtown•4.6
- RRichardWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoFirst time dining in DC and it was really easy to get to, only yards away from a bus stop. It had a beautiful, soft lit atmosphere with rustic mirrors, lively plants, and wooden tables. It was odd at first to be sat at a four person table when just my boyfriend and I were eating, but it seems like there wasn't any two people table options (there were a lot of large parties at the restaurant). Each table had it's own faux candle and cute (real) flower in water. We got the risotto balls as an appetizer and it was DELICIOUS, wow the sauce was so good. Our server was very kind, attentive, and accommodating (my boyfriend wanted to change his drink after she walked away to place it and changed it without a problem). I ordered the lasagna and he got the rigatoni. WOW both were VERY GOOD. We also got the My Veronca cocktail - very yummy too. We also took part in the seasonal Bundt cake (apple white chocolate caramel) which was vey indulgent and a fantastic texture. Would recommend for a date or small gathering: families, groups of college kids were there, young people, and couples were all there. Our waitress was also very honest with us about he tiramisu (not the best since she had high standards) which I appreciated because I too have high standards for tiramisu.More infoNorth Italia - Washington DCPrice: Moderate• Italian• West End•4.4
