Best Gluten Free Restaurants in Asheville

We love Tupelo Honey. I brought my 9 yr old grandson with me for dinner and he absolutely loved his classic chicken and waffles. His eyes rolled to the back of his head when he took his first bite. I had the lightly dusted fried chicken breast and a side Caesar salad. The fried chicken was good but not stellar. The meat was dry, but still tasty. In my experience fried chicken is always juicy so - 4 stars for the chicken. 4 stars for service because our server never asked if we wanted another drink and my glass was empty for awhile. It was a good evening and my grandson really enjoyed himself.

I was visiting Asheville and it was my first time at Blackbird. The risotto I had was delicious, the server was attentive but not at all intrusive and it was delightful overall.

We had a number of appetizers and made it a grazing meal. Everything we had was outstanding. We shared the soup of the day which was a curried coconut and chickpea soup, delicious. We also had brussel sprouts which my husband won't usually eat but actually enjoyed them. We had mushrooms, pork belly and gnocchi too. There was nothing we had that made us regret our choices. I just ate too much because it was so good. The wine choices by the glad are really good too. The service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. We'll go back for sure

Simply fantastic! We got the Med board, arancini, and cacio e pepe and are still trying to decide what we liked best! A must try if you’ve not before!

My partner and I had a grand time enjoying a special birthday dinner at Modesto. Veronica, our upbeat server, made us feel welcome, was attentive to every detail, and warmly professional in her timely service to our table. The food - so many choices! - satisfied every anticipation, was artfully plated and robustly delicious. Our table for two, in a quiet corner, was perfect for the occasion. Our next visit we hope to sit at the bar. Modesto is an intimate space, cozy in the cold months, that expands with spacious streetside seating when days are warmer. We will be back. Five Stars
