Best Fine Dining Restaurants in Kapalua

We experienced the chefs table under chef Donovan and it was phenomenal! They gave us wagyu straight from Japan as a surprise, plenty of wine, and a variety of different fish and meats that were excellent! We really enjoyed our experience!

A pleasure to dine in a serene spot! The misty Mountain views overlooking the golf course was beautiful!. Our waiter Alejandro was very attentive, courteous, & friendly, enhancing our dining experience. The food was fine. For the price & extra service fee, I would expect some bread or olive starter. Portions are adequate, no leftovers.

My experience at Honu was perfection. From the moment we arrived, the staff, particularly Millie our waiter and Pam, our sommelier, made us feel incredibly special. They were attentive and genuinely engaged in our dining experience. The food was nothing short of amazing; each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, the cocktail to start the evening was fantastic!! The combination of outstanding service and exquisite cuisine solidified Honu as a must-visit destination for a world class experience on Maui!

Great location- beautiful views - excellent food - busy, busy! Only complaints would be 30" wait for a table AFTER confirmed reservation time. Not a great start to a Birthday celebration for my wife! Ushered to the outdoor bar for a drink while waiting for table; great views from the deck but ... why have a reservation (made 60 days ago and re-confirmed) if you're going to have to wait?? Food was delicious and while waiter was competent, we felt he was distracted by larger parties and catered to them while letting us wait. Instead of paying with a credit card, I paid cash just so we wouldn't have to wait.

We dined twice for dinner at Mauka Makai and thoroughly enjoyed both times. One would not expect a restaurant at a time share to be anything special. We were very pleasantly surprised and returned for a second visit because it was so good. The food is excellent and rivals anything at top restaurants in the Kaanapali area, and with good prices. Our server James was top notch - he knew what he was doing (no problem opening older bottles of wine, which we had brought with us) - he was engaged and pleasant - we enjoyed his service very much. The view at Mauka Makai is beautiful. The combination of everything made for a wonderful evening and we'll definitely be back during our next visit to Nanea.
