Best Family Style Restaurants in Soulard / Benton Park

We were delighted with the exceptional food we enjoyed at Madrina! The appetizer of ricotta cheese, toasted bread and honey sounded simple, but was so delicious. We also enjoyed our entrees, a pasta with shrimp, artichokes, and tasty cream sauce, and pollo Marsala. Both entrees were outstanding. Our server was pleasant and helpful, offering a taste of the wine before we ordered it. The service all evening was great. We can’t wait to go back!

We had a wonderful evening. The ambiance was the best and the service was very good. We had the Manhattan steak which was very good. I had the special which was prime rib. It was okay but the sauce was overpowering and ruined the steak. The white bean soup was excellent and the salad with Mayfair dressing was good. We will be back.

Our server was the absolute best. Some delays on the steak, but a manager came out to apologize, and our server could not have been better. Super enthusiastic, personable. He made the experience for us. Would absolutely return.

Great as always. Would have preferred the previous family style menu where you get to select from several categories. The current menu is set except for the entrees and there were a few dishes that our family didn’t each much of.

The food is always fantastic...my favorite at lunch is the salmon salad with avocado and mango. A delicious combination. We were lucky enough to be served by Jason, who is friendly, energetic and a perfect waiter.
