Ospi is the sophomore restaurant of Jackson & Melissa Kalb, focused on Southern Italian cooking and way of life. The name derives from ospitante (“host” in Italian), with the expectation that guests will feel as comfortable at Ospi as they would at a friend’s dinner party. There will be plenty of house-made pastas as well as an expanded offering of pizzas. The beverage program crafted by Kalb features mostly Californian and Southern Italian wines and a full bar with a special negroni section. At Ospi, the pizza is inspired by the techniques of Antico Forno Roscioli which Jackson and Melissa frequented while visiting Rome. We had a nice Christmas Eve dinner here. The food was excellent as usual, however it was served family style and since there was only the two of us, it was too much food! We took about one-half of it home, but I think there should have been a choice of appetizers and entrees offered.

Every member of staff from the moment you check in with Natalie, to Grace, Stephen and Marlise at the bar and every other team member working for Donald are super friendly and will go out of their way to make sure you always have an awesome time. The food and drink is all top notch and the atmosphere is great. There’s nothing not to love!

Fabulous experience. Can;t wait to go back. Service was awesome as was the food. I don't like anchovies, but my friend did - I tried it - OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Loved the ambiance - actually, loved everything about it.

This restaurant is very elegant with amazing views of the Santa Monica Beach. We were there for their 3 course brunch and the food was just as amazing! We will definitely be back again!
