Best Family Style Restaurants in Greenpoint

The food was INCREDIBLE. The portions are family sizes; my spouse and I shared an entrée and appetizer, and it was a lot of food. But it was so good. The drinks were great as well. Front desk people were meh, but our waitress and everyone helping around were super nice. 100% recommend.

My partner and I had an amazing time with beyond exceptional service from our server Chris(The gentleman with glasses and long hair). He provided all of our needs and catered to my girlfriend’s allergies, explained the items in the menu, then provided the best espresso martini in the city as he stated hahah!! This was our 2nd time at ilili and the service was top tier twice in a row. Kudos to the front door staff, waiters, bartenders and chefs. You all are doing great work. Hawksmoor can be a little frenetic and noisy at dinner — nothing wrong with that! And the bar area is always quieter. But for the main dining room, I prefer going for lunch. They have a $25 lunch special that includes their famous rump steak and a side, but I went for the $45 option. I got the beet salad in a yogurt dressing, which was delicious, and the rump steak with fries (chips) and side salad. The steak was nicely charred on the outside and pink in the middle — a tad salty, but still quite tasty. And of course I got the Hawksmoor Martini, with Ford's Gin, which was served ice cold with olives on the side. A hell of an accompaniment! The room is beautiful and the service was friendly and efficient. I'd recommend the company too, but I'm not sure my dining companion would want to go here with everyone who reads this.

What a great surprise. The sprouts Chef Training program sounds like an amazing opportunity for youth to gain experience and the Chef/restaurants a pipeline for entre level help. The resturant, staff and food was excellent. Bravo!!!
