You can tell when a chef cooks from their heart. Exceptional meal all around. We shared the mussels and the calamari - just enough for appetizers then moved on to a short rib bolognese (amazing) and a more traditional pasta with meatballs (also very tasty - the meat were the highlight). We also had a bottle of wine and no room for dessert- next time. Service was excellent and noise level was what you would expect in a trattoria - we could have a conversation without having to shout over the other tables around us! All this food and gratuity for $200 was a perfect night out.

Had a wonderful dinner at Alma Gaucha. The food was amazing! The selection at the salad bar was extensive and offered so much for all tastes. But of course most of us go to a Brazilian BBQ for the meat… and at Alma Gaucha, it was sooooo good. The staff was so attentive, kind, and welcoming. My family and I all enjoyed our experience and can’t wait to go back!

This is the second time I've been and it was as good as the first time! This is such a great place, excellent food, great service, cool vibe, no one rushing you, can't recommend this enough, you have to experience yourself, highest recommendations!

This is the 2nd time at shy bird for brunch. Went with my daughters,24 & 21 and they loved it as much as I did. Started with the grilled banana bread. Delicious. I had the chicken Benedict and daughters had a wrap and a burrito. All meals were generous and very tasty. When I am in southie I will be sure to include a stop at shy bird.
