Cooking over a central grill makes for great theatrical cooking from our open-plan kitchen, overseen by Head Chef Nick Galer. I had lunch here with a friend to celebrate her birthday. We had a delicious meal, with excellent, friendly but not intrusive service and to our surprised delight my friend was brought a delicious complimentary cake on a plate with Happy Birthday written on it . Will certainly return.

What a beautiful find for Sunday lunch. Marked 1 star down on food as it would have been nice to have an option on the roast meat. Luckily we both like pork so we’re good but could be a problem for some. The staff and surroundings were great. We shall definitely return.

We had another enjoyable lunch at The Royal Oak today with friends. Excellent food . The food on Sunday 22nd December was also excellent when we met family there . I would highly recommend!
