It was absolutely fabulous on all counts; innovative dishes, excellent wine and our server spent time with us and was super pleasant. We love the quant atmosphere and feels like we are in Paris. We drove 45 mins to get there and we are coming back again soon for sure!More infoCafe ProvencePrice: Expensive• French American• Prairie Village•4.9

From the moment I walked in the door to the when the hostess flawlessly fulfilled my request for a booth to the ambience and special touches on the menu items (shrimp cocktail presented in dry ice!) to the filets that cut like butter. The coffee was presented in a french press and tasted delicious with our peanut butter pie dessert that was so decadent. We were craving another the next day. Our waiter, Jameson took great care of us all evening. This is my 4th time dining here and my husband’s 1st but we will be coming here in the future more often! Highly recommend.More infoOcean Prime - Kansas CityPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• Kansas City•4.8
- AAlexKansas City / Kansas •4 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoEddie V's continues to have excellent food across the board, but it is very pricey (expect ~$100 a person before tax and tip for dinner and drinks). However, the staff, ambiance, food and drinks are all top-notch. Great wine menu but no beers on tap if that's your thing. Our waiter recommended the seabass with a side of the crab fried rice and it was outstanding. Also would highly recommend the lemon tart.More infoEddie V's - Kansas CityPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• Kansas City•4.7
- EEmilyKansas City / Kansas •4 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoI have been to Plate for Happy Hour many times, but this was my first time for dinner. We were not disappointed. We started with the pear bruschetta and truffle garlic bread and both were delicious. The Caesar and Moderno salads were both superb. Everyone at the table had pasta and each dish was delicious - we especially loved the Rigatoni. The dishes all had a little spice - which we enjoyed. Portions were perfect - not huge - but so good we all ate every bit. We ended with chocolate cake to share - which was also delicious. Service was great and so was the atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back!More infoPlate Italiano Moderno - BrooksidePrice: Moderate• Italian• Plaza / Brookside•4.6

My husband recently found out he’s gluten intolerant and they have a lot of gluten free options noted on the menu. Our server was great at answering any questions we had. The “D” Cup cocktail was yummy and definitely would get again. We tried the steak tartare and a couple rolls to start and all were fantastic. Too many good entrees to list that we like but you can’t go wrong with any. This is a restaurant we will continue to visit every year over Christmas when in town!More infoGram & DunPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Plaza / Brookside•4.6
