Nobu Atlanta is situated at Phipps Plaza in the affluent Buckhead neighborhood. With influence from Atlanta's lush canopy of trees and Japanese arts and crafts, the bar and lounge area features a white onyx bar volume that sits in front of a 12-foot-long river rock art installation while folded cast glass pendants cast a soft glow on the bar. The dining room takes you to traditional Japanese garden pavilions that were often used for ceremonies and rituals while overscale pendants made from shoji paper create the look of elongated, abstracted paper lanterns. This was my first time at Yao. I received an email reminder that said the dress code was "business casual". So I bought a new sports jacket for my first date. When I got there, I saw people in jeans so that bothered me that they didn't dress to code and were allowed inside. Anyway, the food was good but a overpriced. It didn't taste any different than if I were to buy it at a cheap chain Chinese restaurant. The meal cost me $170 (after the tip) just for Mongolian beef, calamari, spring rolls, water, tea and a salmon dish with white rice. The waitress was attentive, the staff was professional, the ambiance was pleasant but the music was a little too loud which made conversation a challenging. I probably won't return because I have so many other choices for Chinese food that won't cost an arm and a leg but it's a great place to go if you want to impress your date.

Very cool and great experience for a first timer! The atmosphere was great and very relaxing but energetic! We went on a Thursday night and the place was very packed in a good way! There was a live saxophone musician and a singer. The food was really good and the table side carbonara was fantastic!

My fiancé and I had the opportunity to be a part of Cooks & Soldiers’ 10 year anniversary celebration, and let me tell you that we were BEYOND IMPRESSED. There was a stellar tasting menu with generous portions, and service was TOP-NOTCH!!! A huge shoutout goes to WILLIAM (a former manager who’s now at a another location within the CHG but even made a guest appearance 🫨), JO (one of our go-to servers), DEJA (the general manager - my apologies if I misspelled your name), JOSH (another manager), the bartenders, the chef, and the rest of the Cooks & Soldiers team (both FOH and BOH). The hospitality/customer service and teamwork was impeccable, which was refreshing to witness. When I didn’t think it was possible, Cooks & Soldiers did it again, providing yet another unforgettable dining experience!!! Honestly though, I shouldn’t be surprised when this is the standard the CHG has set. Kudos to you all and keep up the great work!!! Here’s to future success and many more celebrations!!! Cheers!!! 🥂🎉🥳🤩

Except for valet (upon arrival, he just looked at us, zero greeting or communication...), our experience was excellent all around. Caviar service, veal mousse, carpaccio, gnocchi, lobster pasta, clam pasta, and halibut. Clam pasta was just okay. Everything else was perfect. Thank you, La Grotta.
