Best Date Night Restaurants in Jefferson Park

This was our first trip to Francesca - Lincolnwood, as it only recently opened. We were great fans of Francesca's in our Edgewater neighborhood and were sorry to see it close several years ago. We were very favorably impressed with Francesca - Lincolnwood. For starters, there is a convenient and spacious parking garage right next door. We were warmly greeted by the hostess, who we noticed was keeping busy throughout the evening helping out in various other capacities to keep everything running smoothly. The menu and wine list both had lots of choices, and the portions were generous, leaving us enough leftovers to take home for a second meal the next night. The Italian chopped salad was especially delicious and is highly recommended. We also found it hard to choose from the variety of desserts, but all were great.

We went for brunch on Sunday and it was a total vibe. It was a bit loud but not deafening but it made sense since the DJ was playing really well and everyone was enjoying the experience. Our server Gino was awesome even though it was VERY PEAK BRUNCH TIME busy. Will definitely be back again (this time maybe a little later for dinner or earlier brunch time 😂).

My wife and I went here for our anniversary and the restaurant was incredibly accommodating. I did want flowers for the table and I had to purchase and have them delivered myself. I think it would have been much more accommodating if they had taken care of that and added the cost to our check. Our server, Tim, was fantastic but he wasn't very personable; he used the same jokes and lines with a table right next to us...in our earshot. My wife was gracious but I found it a bit "fake." The food and drinks were delicious, but our water was only filled at the beginning of the meal and then never again. I would definitely recommend but I want people to have a realistic expectation.

Outstanding meal and terrific dishes . Been to Thattu, a few times and note the progress over the years. Reservation made earlier in the day guaranteed us no wait. Alcohol is available with a native twist to the traditional cocktails. Food, Made ideally for the South Indian palate but not too spicy for the average palate and food similar enough to the East African and Caribbean dishes. The menu changes regularly but standard dishes like fried chicken, biryani, and unique fair like Appams(flat leavened pancakes) are absolutely delicious. The thali meals wand vegetarian sides are delicately made. Dessert was a a fried jackfruit cake and and payasam. Both exquisite. Tips built in and shared equally by all the staff. Ambiance is one of a casual restaurant with no airs. Simply laid out large dining room and very attentive staff . All orders are placed on individual phones and the tab can be kept open till the meal is done and gone. Service was quick. Street parking can sometimes be a challenge. A wonderful experience to which we will most certainly return.

Wonderful food, service and live guitar music. This was the best Christmas dinner!!
