Best Date Night Restaurants in Idaho Springs

A truly delightful experience. We went to several other restaurants, some even more expensive and “rated higher,” but Blue River Bistro was the best! The only available dinner reservation was at 9:15pm and we weren’t stoked about having to wait to eat so late, but when tables opened up about an hour earlier, the host texted and let us know we could go ahead and come, which was fantastic! The live jazz music and snow and amazing cocktails made it a perfect evening. 10/10!

It was a BIG birthday for me and the food was great, the service was awesome. Great place to celebrate my birthday with good friends!!!

Food, service and place is great. I’d just disliked the practice of presenting the bill prematurely, disrupting the enjoyment of post-meal conversation.

We went for the first time last night for the Valentines tasting menu and it was great! The place is very sophisticated but not intimidating. The food and service were both right on point. We enjoyed everything on the tasting menu. The beef course was cooked to perfection. The potato that came with it was a bit dry and bland, but that would be the only thing that was not wonderful about the entire meal we find it to be a welcome addition to the valley’s food scene, and can’t wait to go back.

Being open, as the name says, 24-7, makes for convenience in Black Hawk. But a good, varied menu means that you aren’t sacrificing much to dine whenever. Fair price-points compared to other area choices. Good service, we’ll-plated portions. All in all, a solid choice for the area.
