Murrays is a classic steakhouse, with a more elevated supper club feel in our opinion. You can confidently count on Murrays to have quality food, drink and service. The butterknife steak for two is a deal that's tough to pass up. The meat is always perfect, with just the right amount of salt and cooked to your liking. I'd suggest the French onion soup as your starter which is also always great with the perfect amount of salt and sweet onion and the cheese...oh the cheese! I also appreciate the liquor selection Murrays has; everything from high end to reasonable. I don't mean cheap, I mean reasonable. It is not common to find a 10 or 11 dollar Rye, Bourbon or other whiskey in downtown Minneapolis, but you can at Murrays. The wine by the glass is also reasonable. Finally, the service; it's top notch. You won't find snooty staff here like you might at some of the other steakhouses in town. You'll just find an entire staff invested in making your experience great and treating you like you want to be treated; valued.

Overall nice dining experience. The food was very good. The sweet potato gnocci was unique and yummy. The service was mediocre. Just very slow. The server had a lot of tables, all far apart so check ins were not frequent.

We haven't eaten at Zelo for awhile but it was as nice as we remembered. We like the option of different sizes/price for the pasta and they split a large salad for us (beet salad) which was delicious. My butternut squash ravioli was excellent. My husband had the chicken alfredo, which was good but had a heavy lemon flavor. Service was excellent. We had a 5:30 pm reservation before a 7:30 play and had plenty of time to eat and relax before heading to the theater. By 6:00 pm the ambiance got very lively and it was harder to converse.

Lovely setting, attentive service, delicious meal and exciting cocktails. We loved every aspect of our date night dinner. Beef tartare, scallops and duck were all outstanding and beautiful. Passionfruit tart also very nice. Don’t miss the passionfruit cocktail with bubbles, sidecar or espresso martini. Exceptionally good.
