Best Date Night Restaurants in Bloomington

Had never been to Oakmont before. We had just seen a show, it was late and we found Oakmont on the app. Not very many options at 9:45 on a Sunday night. The menu looked promising. The drinks were fun and delicious. They had several Christmas cocktails available. The cauliflower puree was very good. The French fries were cooked perfectly. Everyone at the table was eating the French fries from the plate of the person that ordered them. They were ordered without the truffle sauce. The salmon entree was delicious and cooked well. All of us were pleased and satisfied with our entrees. From the yummy pickle slices served with the chicken sandwich,the tajin on the chicken quesadilia, or the "something spicy" in the budda bowl, it all worked and made us very hungry eaters happy and satisfied.

I had the Dorothy menu (Wizard of Oz playing next door), stuffed eggplant/parmesan -- outstanding! Service just attentive enough. Everything was fine. The TV in the distance is a little distracting but with practice can be ignored. It's a great place, totally reliably excellent (and superb spinach!!)

Great food and great service as always! We were celebrating Christmas and going to the Yuletide Celebration at the Hilbert Theater & Ruth’s Chris has always been a part of our family tradition!!

Fabulous downtown Christmas experience at Harry and Izzy’s! The French onion soup was out of this world. ( We brought our own scissors…) The prime rib sandwich was very tasty, but I could have done without the onions on the buns. Now. The service. H& I always has incredible service but on this evening, Sean (our server) went above and beyond!! Always attentive to our needs and my Coke glass was never allowed to be empty. Can’t wait to visit again in the near future.
