- AAmyVIPNew York City •6 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe had not been to HoHoKus Inn for a number of years but booked a table for 4 for last night to celebrate the holidays. We were delighted with the ambiance, service, food and cocktails. Our waiter was exceptional, he was knowledgeable about the entrees all were delicious! The holiday lighting outside and the cozy and not noisy upper floor (despite all tables filled ) made for a wonderful evening! Thank you!More infoHo-Ho-Kus Inn & TavernPrice: Moderate• American• Ho-Ho-Kus•4.5

- MMichaelGreater Boston •3 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 10, 2024Although reservations were a bit challenging to make, it was worth the wait. The staff were extremely friendly, accommodating, professional and knowledgeable. We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. Kudos to a well-run establishment! The food went beyond expectations and Chef Jamie Knott is to be commended. My dietary challenges were addressed with no fuss. I ordered the the side artichokes as an appetizer; and as I am unable to have cheese, they were prepared with butter, lemon and lovely seasoning - very tasty. I had the halibut special which was cooked to perfection. I was asked the doneness preference which surprised me as even in the best seafood establishments this is never asked. I don't like overdone halibut, but slightly moist but firm. It was delightful and utterly delicious! Such flavor! My husband ordered the Spanish octopus appetizer which was so tender and so tasty. His entre consisted of the lamb chops which were cooked to a lovely tender pink and were delectable. We split the mini chocolate cakes which were yummy! Service was spot on - all you had to do was look up if you needed something, and our server was there. I can't say enough about how wonderful everyone was. All in all, a wonderful experience.More infoThe Saddle River InnPrice: Expensive• French• Saddle River•4.8

- LLauraNew York City •1 review4.0Dined on Nov 17, 2024Great experience. Food excellent. Reserved the private round table tucked in back of restaurant for 3 couples. Food was excellent everyone loved their choices. Service was good. One thing that was odd was that when we got there all the glasses and plates were upside down rims touching table. We are germaphobes so we wiped down our glasses. Also when server brought the Pellagrino she just plopped it on table not opened, no ice, no lemon. Typically a restaurant will bring it with glasses filled with ice and lemon/lime wedges. Despite these minor oversights, I do recommend this very good restaurant in the heart of Ridgewood.More infoPiccolo BistroPrice: Moderate• Italian• Ridgewood, New Jersey•4.4
