The historic building at 16 Bay Rd. was home to the South Hamilton Post Office, and a place for residents to send and pick up letters. I eat out at least 2 or 3 times a week. Pellana stands out for several reasons. From the minute you walk in the staff is friendly, and relaxed. They obviously want you to have a good experience. The setting is definitely upscale . Although I have seen people in casual clothes, I feel like it's a place that warrants a little "dressing up". This is just my opinion, not theirs. I ordered a glass of wine. I had ordered that same wine at another restaurant recently. Although the price per glass was the same, Pellana had a much more generous pour. For lunch, I ordered a steak tenderloin , medium rare, on a bed of lettuce and tomato and balsamic. It came exactly as ordered. It is a perfect meal especially for those who want to avoid carbs. We did not order dessert but we ordered a coffee and a tea. Both of these came in small pots and were perfect.

Our Bartender was excellent! The food was amazing! We got the steak and eggs and the breakfast wrap! Absolutely amazing!! Can’t wait to go back! But the star was the lemon ricotta donuts served warm with homemade jam!!!
