- DDORINGreater Boston •9 reviews5.0Dined todayExcellent choice for a B-day dinner. Blake helped us with everything - from the complementary cocktails to the surprise mini cake with lighted candle to finish. In between, the food was cooked to perfection and presented in an appetizing fashion. This is one of the best options for french dining in Boston and it delivered every time we went.More infoMa MaisonPrice: Moderate• French• Beacon Hill•4.8

I had wanted to go to #9 Park for our anniversary, but it was closed for renovations, which gave us a chance to try Moo. We have lived in the neighborhood for decades, but with all the restaurants, we haven't tried Moo since it opened many years ago. Moo is an expensive steakhouse, but there are some seafood items and Cornish game hen that are more reasonably priced, though not cheap, and they actually are full meals so you don't need sides with them. Both the bar area and dining room are attractive and comfortable, but with a reservation, you will be seated in the dining room. My only complaint about the dining room is the lighting--very, very dark, and the paper menus bear tiny, light print. You can get a lamp if you need it, but the lamps are very bright, and though they shine down, they are annoying to nearby diners, as are all of the cell phone lights that those without lamps have to use to read the menus and checks. But that's really my only complaint, which is easily remedied, and I hope they do that. Service was impeccable, and the food was delicious. If your birthday or anniversary is included in your OpenTable profile, you will get a special keepsake paper menu with birthday or anniversary wishes printed at the top. The skin on my branzino, which came with a sauce on the side, was really crispy. The wedge salad that I had started with was large, interesting, and tasty, but for me, it was a bit overdressed. I'm not picky about such things, but I know that many prefer underdressed salads for dietary reasons. My husband had oysters followed by salmon, which he enjoyed. The wine that we ordered had not been chilled, but since we had to wait for that, our waiter brought us complimentary glasses of sparkling wine. We chose the chocolate cake for dessert. The lovely cake is large enough for 4 people to share. With the meal, you get some warm, buttery rolls and some chocolate bon bons to finish up or take home.More infoMooo BEACON HILLPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• Beacon Hill•4.8

- SscottGreater Boston •4 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThis is the best Italian restaurant I've been to in a long time. Drinks - fantastic and flavorful. Pizza - fantastically thin, crispy, and fresh. PASTA - homemade! And they have a pasta dinner option that includes two half orders so you get to try two different types at once. This was the best decision of the night as nothing beats trying two different types of pastas. Music was nice and low, lighting was dim, it was perfect. We went for an anniversary dinner and they brought us out a free dessert that was delicious! Gulten was our server and she gave the best recommendations! Gulten made our night sooo enjoyable :) You have to go here if your looking for Italian in BOS. This is our new go to place and we will be bringing our family here next! 11 out of 10 - do not miss giving Toscano a tryMore infoToscano RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Beacon Hill•4.8
