Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Tappan

Last night food and service were spot on. A very nice waitress great bread and those oysters stellar a great pasta dish with broccoli rob a slightly spicy sausage pure comfort food definitely try this place you won’t be disappointed

We (my family and friends and I) all love this restaurant...! The Sugar Bar--AKA Ashford & Simpson's Sugar Bar Restaurant always gets from us 5 stars!!! The food is always excellent and the service especially pleasant and friendly (even when the restaurant gets crowded). We are delighted by their SUNDAY BRUNCH--always a deal, and terrific food! My catfish (blackened or fried) is EXCELLENT with grits; my companions at breakfast usually have the waffles (or pancakes) and eggs, and bacon/sausage. At Brunch the $25 deal includes an alcoholic beverage (such as a Mimosa) or--for me, a teetotaler-an OJ. ONE drawback--no toast comes with Brunch but at least THIS time each of us got our own slice of sweet and delicious cornbread! Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!, as Johnny Mathis used to sing. Same goes for the oddly named "Sugar Bar." All-around WONDERFUL dining experience on 72nd Street--midtown. Mickey Michaels

Really attentive and nice servers, food was amazing and was not a long wait.

We have dined at Hudson Social many times over the past several years. It is consistently very good quality gastro pub food with a great atmosphere and very friendly accommodating staff. It is located in a restored early 20th century train station building at the Metro North station along the Hudson River. Cozy and comfortable in winter and great outdoor dining in warmer months with views of the Hudson for an affordable price and often live music. Highly recommend this restaurant.
