The cornbread will change your life. Everything was great though, tuna toast, gold rice, and the steak were all fantastic and the fig pudding thing didn’t initially excite me from the name but we were convinced to give it a shot and it was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Very special place!

This is my second visit to Abernethy’s with Chef Pyet I was there for brunch on Saturday. I ordered the guacamole to start. It was perfectly seasoned with crispy tortilla chips. For my entree I ordered huevos rancheros. It was a perfect meal. The presentation is very appealing. I definitely enjoyed my meal and hope to return again. It was a little cool so I had inside seating but on a warm day the outside seating is very pleasant.

Dining at Eigikutei was nothing short of extraordinary. Their vegan kaiseki dinner was a remarkable —each course thoughtfully crafted with precision and artistry, capturing the essence of traditional Japanese cuisine. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the delicate balance of flavors to the stunning presentation that made every dish feel like a work of art. One standout was the sesame soy broth used for the shabu shabu course—rich, fragrant, and deeply satisfying. Its depth of flavor perfectly complemented the meal, adding an extra layer of warmth and indulgence to the experience. The service was equally remarkable—warm, attentive, and reminiscent of our experiences in Japan. Every element of the evening, from the ambiance to the seamless pacing of the meal, transported us back to Japan. Eigikutei has set a new standard for plant-based fine dining. Whether you’re vegan or simply a lover of Japanese cuisine, this is an experience not to be missed. Highly recommended!
