Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Flourtown/Fort Washington

Sunday night so not all that busy at the Jarrettown Inn. Staff was great and gave us just the right amount of attention. The daily specials were all great choices and the chosen was done to perfection. Had a great time and definitely would return Only changes I would recommend would be to the appetizers and small plate dishes that would be starters or happy hour offerings. Would love to see offerings that were more in line with comfort food leaning towards maybe an Italian twist to regular American fair. On way home from the office the Jarrettown would be a great place to have a cocktail and nosh on some not so formal offerings while chatting with friends.

I recently visited a charming restaurant that left a lasting impression on me. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, with soft lighting and tasteful decor. The menu presented a delightful array of dishes, and the food was exceptional, with flavors that tantalized my taste buds. The service was attentive and friendly, making it a truly memorable dining experience.

We got lucky and got a last minute reservation yesterday after being on waitlist for a few days. Felt like I hit the lottery lol, as I know this restaurant starts booking up in October for the holidays! Timing worked out perfectly as we had to get my daughter to her bus back to another city where she lives — and we had exactly one hour to eat. Got seated right away, thankfully. Atmosphere is always festive this time of year, which is the main reason we wanted to eat here. Food arrived promptly and was tasty, service was good and we were on our way out the door on time as very satisfied customers! We will be back ☺️

This was a wonderful surprise find on a busy Saturday night! The menu is full of interesting items (we shared the spinach artichoke drip - so yummy!)the restaurant was decorated and festive for the holidays and our server was wonderful. We will definitely be back!
