I learned early the heart of Italian cooking is the flavor…or sapore. My school of teaching was from the best; my Nonna Elena and Mother Lia. Their philosophy has been carried on in my style of cooking: use simple ingredients and the food will speak for its self. Most everything was great but the ahi tuna tataki is not as good as it used to be they have have the serving so much smaller and the chicken piccata was not real chicken piccata the sauce was like broth and not a thick lemon butter caper sauce which is the primary sauce for that dish plus it was a little spicy which is another flavor that is not in the recipe for picatta

I would completely recommend Commonwealth- especially since the location is right by the Fox! The service and ambiance was great. The food was really good. We had the scallops and lamb. The waitress was extremely responsive and they had a great cocktail list.
