- MMikeVIPAsheville / Western North Carolina •8 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoOur party of four arrived just as The Blackbird opened at 5, as we had plans for the evening. Service was quick and good and we had a marvelous dinner in about an hour. We all loved our choices, from the veggie entree my daughter chose (and she was also happy about the wide range of gluten free options) to the pork chop and the Seafood Pirlau. There were oohs and ahs for the Smoked Gouda Sweet Potato Biscuit Pudding and the Goat Cheese Corn Pie. The top of the Pirlau was a classic mix of shrimp, mussels, sausage, and tiny crawfish, over a wonderful rice cake with a tomato-y both that made me think of Jambalaya that an old friend of mine from N'aleans used to simmer for a day before serving. Delish!More infoThe BlackbirdPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Asheville•4.5

- JJohnTampa / Central Florida West •6 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoOur party of six were all pleasantly surprised as this was our first visit. Two locals in this party and the rest outlanders. We were greeted warmly and our waiter was well-informed about the menu and preparation of the food. Our starters were all over the top delicious and chef-inspired. The BLT was by far the favorite but bacon board was also a hit. We all ordered either the ribs or their famous lemon-dusted fried chicken. Everyone enjoyed their dinner immensely and boxes were brought to take an abundance of this delicious fare home for leftovers! It will not be wasted! I can not close without commenting on the ambience. It was warm, inviting and cleverly decorated. We will return!More infoRoot & Bone - HendersonvillePrice: Moderate• Contemporary Southern• Hendersonville•4.6
- YYuliyaAsheville / Western North Carolina •25 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 19, 2024This place always delivers consistent good southern food with a local twist. Highly recommend trying the fried pickles. Waitstaff are attentive. If you do want to come for brunch come early, just makes for a better experience. It does tend to get crowded as the day goes on.More infoTupelo Honey - South AshevillePrice: Moderate• Contemporary Southern• Asheville•4.6
