Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Aliso Viejo / Laguna Niguel

Tea was nice. Some of the sandwiches had dry bread and the egg salad had onion in it. Desserts were good. It is sad that it is billed for 2 when some people don’t have 2 people in their party or a group of 7 or 9 cab’t be arranged. Music was not appropriate for a Christmas tea… should be Christmas music. Overall, it was nice for a one time visit, but not for multiple visits.

The Dickens show was fun and well done. Sort of like community or dinner theater. Great way to kick off the Christmas season. Everyone at my table had prime rib and they all loved it. Not liking prime rib, I got the Jadori chicken. It was truly inedible. The flavor was off and it was impossible to cut. I’m sure that this was a one-off having been going to Five Crowns for years, I’m used to high quality food. There were plenty of delicious appetizers and a great crème brûlée for dessert. Overall great night - because of the show and company.

Our food was exceptional, as was our server, Emma. My filet was cooked to perfection and my husband’s pork chop was enormous. The charred Brussels sprouts are always a must, as is the garlic toast. So happy that Tavern opened in my neighborhood.

Our family’s favorite restaurant for decades. Excellent, family-run tiny place that has the tastiest food, best value, and makes you feel special every time you go in. Birthdays, anniversaries, etc are all spent here & we continue to love it every time. My fav is the small plates menu - you get the best of the menu in smaller portions!
