Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Albany

We always look forward to dining at dp Brasserie. The food is delicious and the service exceptional. Kiara R. was very charming, knowledgeable and attentive. We enjoyed the charred octopus, the pear and chevre salad, a burger and the chicken Gabriel. The Bananas Foster was a perfect ending to our perfect meal.

The atmosphere at this Albany location is a total 180 from the Saratoga Springs location. This feels elevated and chic. China (forgive my spelling) was an amazing wait staff member. From the check in to our final bite, the entire experience was amazing. We both got the 2 pc. fried chicken, my partner got fries and dirty rice...i got the mashed potatoes and Cajun cole slaw. EVERYTIHNG was perfection and was extremely tasty. Thank you for an amazing night of dining and we will be back!!!

The ambiance and food are always great here - not the issue. The service is book or busy, and this visit was more of a bust. The server was likely on the newer side, but was clearer not trained in the art of customer service. Lack of communication, not checking in to see if we needed anything (had to flag him down to get more drinks, nothing after our dinner was delivered), and no birthday acknowledgment even though my reservation called it out and I told him before the birthday girl arrived. Will be back, but hopefully a friendlier server.

My food was ok the veggie lettuce wraps was greasy which was unexpected the cucumber salad was fresh but lacked flavor- my server was amazing and on point. It was not worth $40 and I'm not a cheap person.
