Best Casual Restaurants in Paterson

Right from the start our waiter Richard, our waiter was friendly, knowledgable, and fun! Appetizer melted mozzarella with Calabrian peppers was outstanding. We licked the bowl clean. Our party loved the 4 different mains. Portion size more than enough. Sadly, no room for dessert. We most certainly will be back.

Dear Fogo de Chão Management I am writing to express my disappointment with an issue we encountered during our dinner last night at your Paramus location. While the dining experience itself was enjoyable, an incident towards the end of the evening left a lasting negative impression. When it came time to pay the bill, my credit card was misplaced by the staff. For approximately 30 minutes, the staff searched for my card. During this time, neither my wife nor I received any updates or acknowledgment of the situation. Eventually, our waiter returned with my card and the bill, but the handling of the situation was far from satisfactory. The manager did briefly come by to apologize for the inconvenience, but no meaningful attempt was made to address the frustration or inconvenience caused by this situation. I believe that during such a prolonged and stressful incident, proactive communication and a genuine effort to make amends—such as a timely update or even a courtesy gesture like a discount on the bill—would have demonstrated better customer service. We expected a higher standard of care and professionalism. While mistakes happen, how they are handled reflects your commitment to customer satisfaction. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and consider reviewing your procedures to better address situations like this in the future. Manager Dante called me the following day to apologize for the night before. He rectified the issue by giving my wife and I complimentary dinner coupons at a time of our choosing. While I understand problems do happen I appreciate the gesture by manager Dante. Will be dining with Fogo De Chao.

Our first time, definitely not our last. From the moment we entered we felt that Sola was a very special place. Every one is happy to see you a makes you feel at home. The ambiance, lighting, decor are designed to make you feel comfortable. The food is amazing, and the service can’t be better. The owner/chef is every were making sure you are happy. MUST make a reservation. Enjoy!!!!

Great experience. Food excellent. Reserved the private round table tucked in back of restaurant for 3 couples. Food was excellent everyone loved their choices. Service was good. One thing that was odd was that when we got there all the glasses and plates were upside down rims touching table. We are germaphobes so we wiped down our glasses. Also when server brought the Pellagrino she just plopped it on table not opened, no ice, no lemon. Typically a restaurant will bring it with glasses filled with ice and lemon/lime wedges. Despite these minor oversights, I do recommend this very good restaurant in the heart of Ridgewood.

From beginning to end the dining experience was excellent. We were greeted by Robert and led to a private table. Our servers were attentive and described all specials and menu's perfectly. Prices of specials were not mentioned. We didn't have a problem with that, but other diners may. Every selection we chose, and there were 4 adults, were a hit!! The flavor of each dish kept you coming back for more. From appetizers, salad, entree's and desserts we walked out full and happy. Will definitely return to this Gem!!
