Best Casual Restaurants in Old Town Alexandria

Had a very good experience with both food quality and service! Dining here is like time warping back to the 1780’s when this place opened, very low lighting, old wooden tables and chairs and a fireplace in each room. We had the gumbo on special, and the chicken pot pie. The gumbo was excellent, the chicken pot was very good also…just needed to be served a little hotter. We had a cup of soup, a chowder I believe, that was very good. Cool establishment!

I had the shrimp app and it was great with a nice glass of Riesling, with a Veal entree, and that was amazing paired with a side of risotto made for a fantastic meal.

Always a good experience when I come here. Looking forward to many more.

The wait staff and management here are A1 in my book. They go out of their way to ensure an incredible experience and let me tell you, they did not disappoint during our latest visit. The food and ambiance always deliver on what a brunch should be. Plan your next outing here and you will not be disappointed in the least.

Tasty pizza- we didn’t have anything else. Service efficient and friendly. Wide range of cocktails. When we arrived (on time, with a reservation) we were told we only had an hour to eat. Fortunately we were done sooner. I would return.
