- LLizVIPNew York City •11 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe had a celebratory dinner at Donna’s. Three of us had never been and one had. Our experience was excellent from start to finish. The wines and food were amazing. Every dish was outstanding including the oysters. We shared everything. We will be back!More infoDonna'sPrice: Expensive• Contemporary European• The Junction•4.8
- SSeanVIPToronto / Ontario •16 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoFood was phenomenal, service from Neal and team was amazing, vibe was immaculate. Can’t wait to return. What we ordered, Endive salad - beautifully balanced and fresh Seafood tower - so fresh and amazing flavours. Only note is that the crab legs are very much whole so was a little difficult to shuck ourselves but we managed. Popcorn clams and mussels - light, crispy, delicious. Order it!! Skate wing - Cooked perfectly, surprising flavour combinations but worked so so well Surf ‘n’ turf - ugh, amazing. Perfectly cooked lobster, crispy sweetbreads, sauce was nicely seasoned and rich NY strip - nicely cooked and great flavour. Only note was that although cooked perfectly mid rare, the actual temperature of the steak was a little cold but not a huge deal English chips - best french fries ever eaten. Malt powder and beef fat, can’t go wrong Banoffee pie - very rich, could use a smidge of acidity to cut through it but still excellent Drinks are also great. Both alcoholic and non. Had too many of each to remember for this review. Overall, fantastic night. Will be back many times.More infoGeneral PublicPrice: Expensive• Canadian• The Junction•4.7
- JJedPortland / Oregon •22 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 28, 2024Simply put, Alma is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Anywhere. Staff is fantastic, ambience relaxed, romantic - in a word, perfect - and the food is consistently inventive and championship level. When we go, we choose the “Trust Alma” option on the menu, and we’ve always been lost for superlatives to describe each dish. A true gem!!More infoAlma TorontoPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Asian• Koreatown•4.7
- SsavmToronto / Ontario •11 reviews4.0Dined on Dec 11, 2024I love Burdock, the beers are so great and the space itself wonderful. The service was really lackluster, a trend I'm seeing throughout the city these days unfortunately (but maybe understandably) - no enthusiasm, not consistent, not checking in if the food is good or if we have everything, a general "oh yeah you're still here" vibe. Not something I've experienced at Burdock before and was really excited to show my friend from out of town. Overall a fine, just fine, experience.More infoBurdock BreweryPrice: Expensive• Contemporary Canadian• High Park•4.8
