Best Casual Restaurants in Arden Fair

A regular in our rota of fine restaurants in Sacramento, Paragary's never disappoints. We split the Caesar Salad: lemony, garlicky, Parmesan, great flavors. Then one of us had linguine with clams and one of us had the tagliatelle with lamb ragu and we were in pasta heaven. Wine list has CA favorites (Navarro, for one) and some international listings. Our server, Wyman, was attentive and professional on a very busy night.

We chose this place based on their special Dine Downtown menu and were glad we did. The food was amazing. After glancing at the regular menu, we decided we need to return. But we will choose a weeknight when, hopefully, it's not so loud.

First time visit to Mattone Ristorante, celebrating our 55th anniversary. The staff were warm, friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. We selected two salads - beet and Caesar, a pesto gnocchi, veal with spinach, mushrooms, mashed potatoes and gravy. The veal was tender and very tasty. The building is unassuming from the outside but was very pleasant inside. The music was pleasant and low enough to be able to hear conversation.

Alaro’s is one of our favorite restaurants. It was a special night and Annette the owner made it more special by taking the time to read my comment in OpenTable and accommodating my request. If you haven’t been there, I highly recommend you try it! Thank you Alaro!

We went for an early Saturday lunch. Wait staff friendly, helpful, prompt. Since it was not busy the noise level was very low. Portions are large, food very good and prices reasonable.
