- GgaryChicago / Illinois •16 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoI'm a fan of restaurants that are a bit different, in a good way. Jen's definitely fits the category. The location on Archer Ave is a bit different in terms of a nice restaurant fitting in there. The exterior is very nice, the staff upon walking in was friendly and very accommodating. Had bar seating as it was just my son and I. Service was a 9/10 and the bartender, Thayer, was very talkative and consistent in checking on everything. We started with crab cakes and they were awesome, with a wonderful sauce. My son had short ribs, and as a former restaurant owner, they were in the top 3 short ribs I've ever had. They had the tenderness of a filet with a wonderful taste. My Berkshire pork chops were good, but the sauce was a hint too sweet. The white cheddar mashed potatoes were OK, they definitely needed more seasoning and thankfully, pepper is my friend. As this was celebrating a special event, we had 2 very nice bottles of wine. The prices at Jen's were VERY fair and the depth of the wine list offered a number of quality choices. The bartender shared that there was an extensive cellar below and let's just say that was the kind of wine cellar every restaurant needs. Fun tour. Definitely would go back to Jen's. They also have a dog friendly patio and can see that as a fun summer hangout. Well done Jen.More infoJen's GuesthousePrice: Expensive• American• Willow Springs•4.6

Just delicious. Then we had the Monkfish and Beef Bourguignon as our mains. Both of those were perfection. The cocktails were also delicious. Our server was Marina and she was a delight. All in all a perfect evening.More infoPetite ViePrice: Moderate• French• Western Springs•4.9

I hate I can’t remember the server name she was a light skin young girl very petite. She was so sweet and she was able to suggest a few items for us to try. We did get the margaritas flight and it was worth the money.More infoToast It IZPrice: Expensive• American• Evergreen Park•4.4
