- RRobertSan Francisco Bay Area •11 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThis French restaurant, at the corner of Primrose and Chapin Aves in Burlingame, is well worth a 5-star rating on all counts. Modern, yet subtle, decor, unobtrusive period music in the background, excellent and varied selections, ample portions, and fantastic service provide a reason to return time and time again. Our party of three enjoyed the rack of lamb, the lobster ravioli, and the cassoulet. Each dish showed the attention and skills of a master chef. In addition to a la carte choices, they offer a prix fixe menu at $65 that provides an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert, with no menu exceptions, for this very sensible price. The restaurant offers a broad selection of wines and beer but does not have a full bar so anyone in need of a cocktail before dinner may feel temporary disappointment. Nonetheless, Chou Chou is fine dining!More infoChouchou French Bistro BurlingamePrice: Moderate• French• Burlingame•4.6

Celebrating daughter birthday. Was hoping they would have brought a little slice of cake for her as we mentioned it was her birthdayMore infoRise Woodfire - San MateoPrice: Moderate• American• San Mateo•4.4
- PPeggySan Francisco Bay Area •5 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWonderful! Had the sea bass— which was a whole small fish with lovely potato’s, asparagus and sauces. Had linguini with seafood. Full of juicy fat prawns, shrimp, scallops, mussels. The sauce was exquisite? Wine flights, yummy bread with dipping oil, salad so delicate, cheesecake for desert. I am in heaven here! Great staff!More infoSaltyard Restaurant and BarPrice: Moderate• Italian• Burlingame•4.5
- JJenniferSan Francisco Bay Area •4 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoLovely dinner on Christmas Eve. We had two service dogs with our party and our table was perfect and out of the way of other diners. I would recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner!More infoCentral Park BistroPrice: Expensive• American• San Mateo•4.8
- KKarenSan Francisco Bay Area •18 reviews4.0Dined 7 days agoThe food was excellent as always. But we felt more cramped as so many more tables were added. There were rows of 5+ tables of 2 stacked a few inches apart, so we felt a loss of intimacy. But the restaurant got more packed, so it's popular, with a slightly different vibe.More infoThe Barrel Bistro & Wine BarPrice: Moderate• French American• San Mateo•4.6
