Situated in the Red Rocks country 17 miles southwest of Denver on Hwy 285, The Fort is a true replica of Bent's Fort, (1833-1849), the first American fur trade post in Colorado. The Cheyenne, Arapahoe, Kiowa and Pawnee traded and intermarried at Bent's Old Fort, creating an economic and peaceful exchange of cultures in an otherwise violent West. The Fort building is on the National Registry of Historic Places, and celebrates the many cultures that traded at Bent's Old Fort. Noth never disappoints! On this occasion, the restaurant was extremely busy and getting started with service took 15 minutes or so, which is unusual. Maybe they were short waitstaff? Once our service was engaged everything rolled along very smoothly and our server Jordyn W was excellent! Our meals were cooked to perfection and delicious.

The chicken pot pie was delicious, big enough to feed two people. French onion soup had plenty of onions done just right and we liked the entree sized house salad. A great lunch for two people priced under $55 including the 4% surcharge for back-of-house staff. The vibes from staff— servers, expediters, hostess and bartender — were all very positive

I took my best friend here for the first time and the Fort did not disappoint! Everyone was so welcoming, the food came out in such a timely manner and everything tasted amazing! We were sat next to one of the fireplaces and the ambience was beautiful! The owner even passed through to tell us about the artwork hanging in the room. I highly recommend the Fort to anyone I can. It is a wonderful dining experience. Perfect for holidays, special occasions or just because.
