Petit Trois Le Valley, the second outpost of Chef Ludo Lefebvre's beloved bistro, opened its doors in 2018 in Sherman Oaks. This larger location channels a lavish French Brasserie, with its marble bar, banquette lined dining room, and a Chef’s counter overlooking the open kitchen. The second dining room can be reserved for larger parties and private events. Since opening, Petit Trois has garnered praise from casual foodies and revered food critics. In 2015, Petit Trois was nominated for Best New Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation and in 2019 earned the Bib Gourmand designation upon the Michelin Guide’s return to Los Angeles.     We sat outside and it was early on a Saturday night so it was not noisy. Our food was ok, not fabulous. The kids tacos were unusual. They were soft tacos with melted cheese on top. I guess the kids expected hard shells and ground meat. It was chunks of meat. It looked good, but only one of the three ate it. The Margarita's tasted different than what we are used to. My husband and I could not figure out why. The flavors were unusual and we don't know what ingredient is different that is used there. The service was good. We had to ask them to wash our table before we sat down. There were food crumbs on it. I thought this detail should have been attended to before we were seated.
