She welcomed us in, gave great advice, and was overall terrific as this was our first visit. The food was fantastic, as were the cocktails. The only drawback was a gentleman that was assisting at our table. Initially he came over (after we were seated by staff) and asked if we seated ourselves or if we had a reservation. (We did and explained that as we entered the restaurant). We ordered the whipped ricotta (which was delicious) and this same gentleman advised that if we needed more bread just ask. Clearly this happens often. Well, we were left with a half bowl of cheese and no bread. We asked and received. However when we received the bill we were charged $3 for the extra bread. Not the money, it’s the principle. You may want to rethink that policy. Personally I don’t like being nickel and dimed. Unfortunately it left us feeling a little deflated after an outstanding experience.More infoThe Goat by David BurkePrice: Moderate• American• Union Beach•4.3

- CCarolNew York City •12 reviews4.0Dined 6 days agoWe went for Thanksgiving dinner. Disappointed that it was 'deli' turkey, and not carved off the bird. Also disappointed with the little dollop of whipped cream on the pumpkin pie. The sides were delicious, especially the mashed potatoes. I also enjoyed the seasonal drink - Midnight Harvest. Our server Matt was the best.More infoHoulihan's - HolmdelPrice: Moderate• American• Holmdel•4.6

The beautiful romantic atmosphere, amazing views, warm yet attentive service and truly exquisite food make for a perfect experience. It is a special occasion place, not for everyday, but we have celebrated our anniversary there several times (when in the city - we do not live in NYC), and this time it was our 50th. They did not disappoint! I hope I get to go back for many more special occasions. We took our adult son with us and he loved it as well.More infoThe River CafePrice: Very Expensive• American• DUMBO•4.8
