Best Authentic Restaurants in Universal City

Everything was spot on & very well decorated. The patio area is to die for!!!! Service was fair but for the spot I expected a lil better service. We waited quite awhile for the server to come around so we can ask for the check & to go boxes.

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner! Our server, Jen was so friendly and kind. Immediately gave us complimentary Prosecco to celebrate. She reviewed the menu with us and advised us based on preferences. We had the mozzarella bi bufala, the orecchiette, raviolo, Caesar salad, and the braised beef cheek special. Everything was so delicious! Cannot wait to go back!

the dishes were quite inventive and not the sort of things we encounter in san diego restaurants. the squab pasta was amazingly tasty, the branzino perfectly prepared and delicious and the broccoli with olive oil, garlic and lemon couldn't have been better. the honeycomb ice cream and cannoli were just the right ending to our wonderful meal. the wine list was also inventive and the bottle of sicilian grillo blend paired perfectly with our dishes.

Food and ambiance at M&F outstanding as ever. (I do wish they'd heat the bread, tho.) But this trip they outdid themselves in service. My dear companion now uses a cane and walks quite slowly. The valet noticed and actually drove him around to the front door where I met them having come down the stairs and secured our reservation. On leaving a member of wait staff lead him out a side door to the curb while I brought the car around. They made the night of my dear's birthday even more wonderful than just the dinner. This is old style service, above and beyond. Three cheers for Musso & Franks.

As always the food is great. Whole family enjoyed the dinning experience.
