Reservation requesting bar seating was ready upon arrival, with menus, silverware & napkins awaiting our arrival. Staff was young, friendly and attentive, providing recommendations for libations and food favorites. We decided upon several appetizers, and found the crispy duck tacos a favorite! Also enjoyed the shrimp gyoza, with a puree of edamame and avocado. Many diners recommended their ramen bowl entries. They stock a well-rounded number of drinks, from beer and sake, to beautifully crafted non-alcoholic and alcoholic "Lucky" libations. All and all, a very pleasant evening. We will be back for more!

We celebrated our anniversary at Nico’s Upstairs and from the moment you enter the second floor you are greeted with a warm Aloha. Phillip our waiter was attentive to our needs and very Knowledgeable in both food and liquor selection. From (First )then (Second) and (Third ),the timing was perfect upon being presented with our selected choices. The food was very delicious and seating tables spaced out in a manner giving feeling of an intimate environment . We Highly Recommend Nico’s Upstairs for a truly enjoyable experience. Absolutely one of the best meals I’ve had on the island so far. Lifelong food enthusiast who has traveled all over the world for the best food. This was certainly one of the better meals I’ve ever had, clearly the best on the island so far. The atmosphere is incredibly casual for this level of food. And almost all of the servers were exceptional.

There was about a 20-25 minute wait despite our reservation, but the food more than made up for the delay. Definitely on our short list to return.

Excellent surprise on Hotel Street. We usually default to FETE before a Hawaii Theatre show but Hachibei is now our go to. Food was quite excellent. Definitely worth going to.
