Best Authentic Restaurants in Barton Creek

The Well (2nd Street location) has long been my #1 favorite restaurant in Austin. So, when I found out they were opening a location in Westlake (closer to my home in Dripping Springs), I was excited! The food at the Westlake spot is just as good as the Downtown spot, and they even have a few additional things on the menu (Note: the Grass Fed Steak Sandwich is to die for!)

We recently had friends visiting us from Boston, and we decided to take them to Aba for Saturday brunch. Let me just say—what an incredible experience! We made reservations ahead of time, and everything from start to finish exceeded our expectations. We ordered nearly everything from the brunch menu, including dips and hot mezzes, and every single dish was an absolute delight. Everything came out fresh and tasted phenomenal. The muhammara and burnt garlic hummus were crowd favorites. The falafel and Brussel sprouts were made to perfection. The desserts were equally impressive—the sticky date cake was an absolute star, and the cheesecake with its delicate puff pastry crust on top was unforgettable. Although the interior ambiance was exquisite, we opted to sit outside by the bar due to the size of our party and the perfect weather, which added to the charm of the experience. Our waitress was incredibly sweet and courteous, enhancing the overall great vibe of the place. Aba truly delivered a memorable dining experience. If you’re in town, this place is a must-visit! Delicious food, excellent service, and an all-around amazing brunch spot. Five stars all the way!

Always wonderful food, drinks and atmosphere! I believe this was our 9th visit to Sway over the years and it surely won't be our last. Simply fantastic!
