Emmer & Rye offers an exceptional dining experience with "superb food" and a "wonderful service." The innovative, farm-to-table dishes, like "cacio e pepe" and "Johnny Cakes," impress guests. I had a higher expectation for Emmer & Rye based on prior reviews, and the overall concept of the restaurant. I would say this was a “just fine” experience. I felt there was a lot of hype about the dishes curated, however, the taste was not over the top - very average when compared to similar dishes at other restaurants. I got the Crudo with red snapper and the Pappardelle. The first was fresh and citrusy. The Pappardelle was good, found it to be on the more buttery and oily side, which took away from the taste of the dish especially the meat and the sauce. Overall, a 4 out of 5. I appreciate the farm to table approach, and service was good.

Some dishes are a little bland, but most are quite good. Pastas are usually a good choice, as is the bread plate and desserts. Cocktails and wines by the glass are usually very good. Service is excellent. Reservations are often required.

Food was excellent. Service was great. Table was by the bar which would be our only complaint.

We had the pleasure of sitting at the Chef’s Counter to celebrate our anniversary. Would recommend this to anyone who is able! The way the kitchen runs so smoothly and getting to see our food be made in front of us was an unforgettable experience! Not to mention that each dish was better than the last! All of the staff was very kind and knowledgeable!

I never write reviews but in this i case I feel extremely compelled. The service, ambiance, and location are all great. The food however was terrible. Poorly cooked, bad flavor profiles and delivery overall. I think it was one of the worst meals I can recall. There is a lot of potential but something needs to change on the menu and execution.

We had a fantastic birthday dinner at Emmer & Rye last night. We sat at the bar, just the 2 of us, and every staff member we interacted with - from servers to cooks to bussers - took care of us like royalty. Ashley gave us recommendations and created a welcoming vibe, and Maxwell, the cook who worked across from us, took our experience to the next level, with just the right amount of friendly banter while looking out for things like keeping our water carafe full. And that's not even to mention the food, which was all inventive and delicious. We look forward to spending many more special evenings with Emmer & Rye.

Our server Brooke the best- incredibly friendly and helpful! The food was exceptional. Our favorites were the cacio e pepe, carnitas, and the sourdough starter. However you can't go wrong with anything you order! We will absolutely be back.
