Welcome to Elm. Here in the heart of New Canaan, CT., we believe that great meals start with the best ingredients, friends, family, (and of course), our favorite wines. In our charming neighborhood restaurant, we serve seasonal American dishes, inspired by elm’s farmers and fishmongers, and on occasion, a far away place.
Elm is the showcase for the inventive and seasonally inspired cuisine. You can enjoy our daily changing a la carte and chef's tasting menus in all of our distinct dining areas...our beautiful bar, the elegant dining room, at the chef's counter with a view of the kitchen, or we can customize a private dining event at our 14-seat chef's table. Service & food were great but, as the restaurant was packed, there was no need to play loud music. It was difficult to hear our guests across the table.

I asked our Server for a suggestion from the menu. She suggested the burger - said it was the ‘best in Town’ and being from the West Coast I laughed at the ‘pun’ on the animal style of the In n Out Burger. I ordered it medium rare - it arrived well done accompanied by cold fries. The 2 hosts acknowledged the error as our Server was busy at delivery. She later swung by, saw it was overcooked and sent out more french fries—- my guests were enjoying their chicken and ribs so there was not time to ‘re-cook’ the best burger in New Canaan. Sad to say —- NO vote from me…..

Food was wonderful as was the service. It’s a little expensive so won’t be returning for everyday but for a special occasion it is great!

We had a perfect lunch outside. The menu was quite large and the food was very good. The town of New Canaan was very attractive.
